Hi Friends! I am working as an Assistant Professor of Zoology in Zakir Husain College, University of Delhi. I am a trained Zoologist,Graduated from Daulat Ram College,University of Delhi and did my Post-graduation in Zoology with specialization as an entomologist, from Miranda House College, University of Delhi. My M.Phil. work was on the Rearing of Lepidopteran Larvae on different diets: natural food and semisynthetic one and Ph. D. was on “Effect of crude extract of neem seed (Azadirachta indica A. Juss.) on the behavior and physiology of Spodoptera litura (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)”.I did my research work in the Insect Behaviour Unit of Department of Zoology, University of Delhi.I have been into teaching since my Ph.D.I started my teaching profession from my Alma Mater i.e Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi and then taught in KiroriMal College,Swami Shraddhanand College,Maiteryi College and finally joined my present institution,Zakir Husain College, University of Delhi in 2006. I am a nature lover and love my planet also. I am doing my bit to save this planet and the species inhabiting it by participating in various campaigns of WWF [1].
I joined Wikieducator as a Wikineighbour on 2nd March 2009 and after discovering the country page for India on WikiEducator, went on to become a proud WikiAmbassador for my country on the very same day.I enrolled myself for the EL4C21 (a 10-day online workshop) which started on 23rd March, and after completing it succesfully was certified as a WikiBuddy on 3rd April 2009.

My Pro-D Interests
- I believe life is a learning process, and life stops when you stop learning.I am interested in learning new skills at the same time sharpening the ones am already having.I really love my profession and take it as a challenge to make learning an enjoyable experience for my students.In the classroom i use powerpoint presentations and pictures downloaded from internet to make the concept more interesting.I want to learn preparing moodles as this is one skill am not skilled at yet.I would like to develop content which students can easily understand, as i think thats the primarily goal of teaching.

Here am going to reveal about the Real Me not as a teacher but as an individual.I am a nature lover and like everything about nature, the lush green plants,the beautiful and amazing diversity of animals,the smell coming out of soil after the first few drops of rain, the sunrise and settling down sun after the day's exhaustion.I love mountains (covered with vegetation) and rivers flowing with immense energy.
